Signal Whistles come handy when someone is a distance away and you want to alert them. They provide a shrill sound which is audible over long distances and are very useful when you are not able to shout. They can also be used as a tool to order a group of people in a camp. Some signal whistles also come with other tools like a kinfe, compass, flashlight and led torch built-in as a single device.

A signal whistle is typically brighly colored so that it can be easily located even in dim light. This is useful especially when cmaping when not much light will be available in the night.
